Eighth Grade Events

Honoring our graduating learners as leaders and encouraging them to leave a positive legacy through service and actions that are seen by their peers in all grade levels is a large part of why Eight-grade students have many events designed exclusively for them. From retreats and study-trips to service-oriented events and fun events, our graduates leave with heavy hearts but ready to move into their high school lives.

Parents are encouraged to be part of their experience as event coordinators, volunteers and chaperones to study trips. Our Eighth-grade teachers collaborate with the Eighth-grade Parent, the individual who has been asked by the Administration Team and Eight-grade teachers, assigning volunteers to respective events. An Information Night at the beginning of the year is planned that thoroughly explains all of the events and chances parents have to be part of committees ensuring the event's success.

Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac School takes pride in its development of student leaders which manifests in graduating classes each year. We know that our graduates are highly sought after by public and private high schools for their maturity, approach to learning, leadership and service mindset. We know our graduates are a product of the positive school culture comprised of a strong Catholic Identity, the Sisters of the Company of Mary, an Administration Team, Curriculum Team and dedicated educators in Preschool through Eighth-grade as well as active parents who support the Educational Project of the Company of Mary and the mission of Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac.
